Signalization
The longest and most demanding bike route in the holiday region of Uri leads you over the trails of the Russian General Suworow and offers fantastic views at the traverse of Chinzig Chulm.
You bike along the lake of Uri in northerly direction on the impressive Axen road. Through old tunnels of the historic road and on steep cliff faces you reach Sisikon. Here you branch off into the idyllic Riemendstaldner valley where you then ascent to Goldplangg. The protected nature areas on both sides of the river will charm you with its golden display of flowers - especially in spring. At the cosy alpine restaurant of Liplisbüel you can have a well-earned rest.

Next you are accompanied by picturesque alps with cows, sheep and whistling marmots on your route through the Chinzer valley. Over 200 years ago the Russian General Suworow traversed over the difficult Chinzig pass with over 20,000 soldiers in order to escape the French troops.

Onwards you then start the attractive descent from 2073 m to 447 m above sea level, whereby the first part to Gisleralp proves to be very demanding and only the most technically experienced bikes will remain in their saddles the whole way. Then there are ups and downs on the wide nature trails, which finishes with an attractive descent to Eggberge and then the forest of Altdorf.
